We just had Powell repair and paint the exterior of our home, and are delighted with both the customer service and the results. The carpentry is expert and exactly what we were looking for, and the painting is excellent quality. Andre (project manager) checked in with me twice a day to ensure the project was on track, met all of our expectations, and answered any questions. Mauricio did really beautiful work, and the whole project was completed well within the timelines. We would highly recommend Powell.

We had an outstanding experience with Bryan and his team. From the very start, they took our project seriously, going above and beyond to address a trouble area where we had some water damage. Instead of just painting over it, they took the extra steps to get to the root of the issue and ensure everything was properly repaired before painting. The team was incredibly accommodating and professional. They amended the contract to close up our gable vents and add soffit vents, and they even allowed us to use paint from two different providers so we could get the exact custom color we wanted for our door. Bryan was a true partner in the process, providing valuable insight into popular color trends and helping us select the best colors that would complement our windows, which we couldn't paint. Their expertise and attention to detail made a huge difference in the final result. We are 100% happy with their work and would use them again in a heartbeat. Powell Painting did a great job on my antique home (circa 1907). The home had several carpentry needs (rotted wood, etc.) from years of neglect which Powell's team tackled with ease - and they were able to match the antique trim moulding. The home looks fantastic now. The guys (Serpa was awesome to work with!) were on-time every day, did a fantastic job cleaning up each day (which my neighbors commented / complimented them on!), were always professional, and were extremely skilled. A++ Service from Powell, I would highly recommend them.

Powell Painting did an excellent job on my 105-year old house. They undertook some much-needed carpentry work that blended seamlessly with the architecture, and executed very detail-oriented paintwork to highlight my house's unique character. We had the exterior of our home and ADU painted by Powell Painting, and they did an excellent job. Communication was clear throughout, and they were flexible when we made a few design changes along the way. The on-site crew was courteous and made sure the property was left neat and tidy at the end of each day, which we really appreciated. Bryan and Andre stopped by frequently to check in, ensure things were on track, and were always easy to reach with any questions. They also repaired and replaced several Hardie boards that were beginning to deteriorate, carefully caulking and making adjustments to help extend their longevity in the future. The work was high quality, the process smooth from start to finish, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We would absolutely recommend Powell Painting for exterior painting.

Our experience with Powell Painting and Home Services was exemplary. The crew was very polite and considerate. Bryan and his associate Andre were extremely attentive to our needs, and helped us get our job completed on time, even with a pretty tight schedule. They even accommodated us when we had to redo a room because the first color was too strong. The work is impeccable, and the house just looks gorgeous. Stephanie in the office was very helpful and patient as we got the payments in, even with a hiccup or two with a credit card. The price also -- amazingly, given how great the work was -- came in well under our other bid. So we will be returning to Powell for all our future painting and home repair needs.

I hired Powell Painting for a full house painting job. Bryan and the team did a superb job. Excellent communication with frequent check-ins and site visits/walk throughs. The crew paid very close attention to detail and cleaned up/straightened out their equipment after each day. Even after the job was complete I was waiting on some hardware for my shutters. The team at Powell Painting was great to work with from beginning to end. They were here when they said they would be here both for purposes of quoing the job and for doing the work. They did a thorough job. Our house is small and they worked for 6 days, cleaning scraping, prepping and painting. They communication throughout was great. We had to be out of town. when they finished due to a death in the family, but they followed up to check is we were happy or noticed that anything needed some tough-up.

I recently hired Powell Painting and Home Services to spruce up my home’s exterior, and I have to say, they were top-notch when it came to keeping me in the loop and paying attention to the little things. The communication with both management and crew was spot on. They were always quick to respond to my questions, explained everything clearly, and made sure I knew what was happening at each stage of the project. Their attention to detail was impressive, from the meticulous setup and prep to the actual painting, right down to their thorough cleanup. Overall we had a very good experience with Powell Painting. The only criticism is that they should be more careful in making sure they've removed all masking tape and masking paper before they leave. They should also recheck with the client during the initial visit that they completely understand and have written down all areas the client wants painted so there aren't little problems between the client and workers when the work has already commenced. Perhaps communication between Mr. Powell and his foreman was a bit lacking during that period. A simple call to their office cleared up the confusion and we spoke with a terrific young lady on the phone.

I could not be happier with my experience with the team at Powell. From start to finish, they were professional, responsive, and easy to work with. We hired Powell to paint the exterior of our home and their carpentry services to replace several rotted window frames for a three story house. Andre stopped by to perform the initial exam and was very thorough and knowledgeable on the work that needed to be done. Unlike other painters I contacted, the Powell team was easy to contact and actually showed up on time for the scheduled time slot. Their quote for the project came in right around the same as other quotes we received, and it was well worth the cost. I can't praise the level of service you get with Powell. Stephanie, who handles scheduling and billing, was on top of communications so that I didn't have to worry about anything. Even the owner, Bryan, stopped by at the beginning to inspect a few leaks we had in our ceiling to help us determine whether there were other issues beyond repairing the rotted windows for us to consider. They will even bring out the drone for inspection if you have a tall home. As additional rotted windows were discovered during the power washing, work orders to add additional work was clear and simple. Once the work actually began, it went so smoothly. Andre stopped by every morning and afternoon to check in and update us. Our crew, Thiago and Breno, were incredibly hard workers. They were at our home by 7:30 am every morning despite the terrible traffic and often worked past 7 pm even during a heat wave. The guys were experts on the ladders despite having a few high, tricky spots to get to. The worksite was clean after each day which I was grateful for as we have a toddler running around. The entire project took 10 days. While it moved fast, it didn't feel rushed and no corners were cut to finish quickly. They even paused the project for 2 days because of rain so that we didn't run the risk of streaky paint. After the work was completed, they insisted on us contacting them if we weren't satisfied with any part of the project. I cannot recommend Powell Painting enough for a stress free and professionally done project.

They say they will be there on a certain day and they were there always on time. We had water damage and needed work on both upstairs and downstairs bathrooms, as well as our kitchen ceiling. We were waiting on another contractor quite awhile, when we finally called Powell Painting and Home services, and talked with Stephanie, who is extremely nice and very helpful, and we decided to have them come to our home. We met with Bryan Powell, Fabiano, and a few others in their crew, and they checked out the work needed and by that evening, Bryan let us know when they could begin the work, estimated cost, and a well thought out plan to do the work in parts so we could utilize at least one bathroom and the kitchen work could be done on less “traffic” days. We are very happy with the finished product, Fabiano and the crew are very considerate, and answered any questions along the way. He did great work and quickly. Bryan came by everyday to check in that everything was going how we expected. Stephanie was wonderful thru out, reaching out and handling all scheduling, and a pleasure to talk to. Greg Brady (Electrician) and Bruce Sison (Plumber) also did great work and were very helpful with any questions. I will certainly reach out to Greg and Bruce for any electrical or plumbing needs. We had a great experience with Bryan and his team for our large interior painting project. In additional to the rest of the house, he assured us that he could update our old knotty pine walls to look clean and modern, and he delivered! Bryan and his team were consummate professionals throughout the entire project and were in constant communication about everything, which we greatly appreciated. I can’t say enough good things about our experience working with Powell Painting. They recently painted our very dated kitchen cabinets and the room is completely transformed! The whole process was smooth and easy, from Bryan and his team at the initial consultation and throughout the job to Stephanie in the office keeping us on schedule. They were friendly, organized, on time, efficient, and communication was prompt and clear. The painters were incredibly thorough and detail oriented, and took on last-minute changes without issue. Not only did they paint the cabinets and walls with a beautiful smooth finish, but they also fixed little things along the way—we came back to find cabinet doors that used to not work properly had been adjusted, raw edges at the side of some cabinets had been covered with a small molding, and many other small details had been improved. I recommend Powell Painting to anyone who needs any kind of painting done in their house.

Powell just finished painting and staining my deck. They were easy to work with and communicate with during the entire process. They were kind enough to assist with moving furniture on and off the deck and replaced a few stair treads during the process at a reasonable cost. They did a full repainting of our house in Wellesley. They were responsive, very professional, and gave constant updates. They also did a very good job.

I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Powell Painting. They owner Bryan is an excellent communicator. From the estimate, to contract signing to daily visits to our home just before and during the project-excellent! Bryan found two things a previous contractor missed. Not only was he forthcoming about it, but he was also able to get us someone to help resolve our issue. The two primary gentleman that did our project was Freddie and Bernardo. I cannot say enough about how good the quality of their work was and how kind they are. Eric joined them partway through-another great painter! The men went above and beyond. We faced many weather challenges, but the team was able to get things done. The replaced some of the siding on our home, squared off the frame around our garage doors, added soffits, added a new front door and sidelights and painted our entire exterior. Just prior to the painting we had 29 new construction windows put in. Bryan noticed a seal error right away and his team was able to fix it. They also painted all the new interior trim, fixed a bathroom ceiling and repainted the entire room. Very meticulous. Excellent indoor prep-not a drop of paint anywhere. And very patient as I have 4 children and it’s constantly busy in my house. I plan on calling them in the future for any interior needs.

I recently (08/17 - 8/21/23) had my house painted by Powell Painting and Home Services. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From beginning to end the job and contact with the owner Brian, business manager Andre, site manager Tiago and office manager Stephanie was painless. My home needed extensive siding replacement, wood work, painting and shutter removal and replacement. The work crew were extremely professional and did a great job. Company managers checked with me every day to make sure things were going okay. I was unexpectedly out of town for several days and Andre sent me several texts and photos of the progress. Work order changes were made without difficulty and the property cleanup was excellent. I would highly recommend this company for anyone’s painting and repair services.

Friendly and easy to work with. They did a great job considering how many weird nooks and crannies our project had, and they were even able to clean up mistakes a previous owner made in getting paint on our stained wood ceiling. Communication was great and Bryan and Andre checked in daily to make sure everything was going well. They also do a walk-through with you at the end to look for any touch ups, and if you find more once you've had a couple days to notice stuff with fresh eyes, they'll come back and take care of it. Our walls and mouldings are so much smoother than before. When we're ready to do the outside, we'll gladly have them back.

When I am looking to hire a professional for a job, I go with the company I personally feel comfortable with. I needed quite a lot of work done to my 100-year-old house. I wanted gutters removed, trim boards fixed, cedar shingles replaced. I wanted the house painted. I chose Powell Paining because of Bryan, the owner. He was straight forward and honest. I received a detailed quote listing everything we discussed. I decided to go ahead with the job in May, Stephanie in the office quoted me a start date of end of July beginning of August. They were spot on. Even with the incredibly rainy summer we were having. They pressure washed on July 24th. The woodwork began on July 31st. The crew was amazing. They started working before 8 am and they worked until after 7 pm, some days even after 8 pm. Every day they cleaned up all debris around the house leaving it looking better than when they started. In total it took 7 days to remove gutters, remove my shutters, power wash, replace boards, replace cedar shingles, prime, paint and rehang my shutters. There was a project manager stopping by every day to make sure everything was going smoothly. Bryan was also stopping in to see the progress. The team was constantly in touch with me. The communication was amazing. They kept me informed of any schedule changes, and questions they had, following up to make sure I was happy with the progress. They did an outstanding job. While the crew was working, we discovered a bad infestation of wasps. Bryan contacted a company he uses to get rid of them. 5 minutes later that company was calling me to schedule coming out to spray. Within an hour of discovering the problem, I had already set up the eradication for 9:00am the next day. Bryan's suggested company was very affordable. The quote I received from Bryan was incredibly close to what I ended up paying. With my house being over 100 years old, I had a contingency budget of over 30%. I expected significant issues to arise. I only needed 9% for issues that arose. I added on work, and they fit it in no issue. When the job was complete, I found two trim boards I didn't like. It had nothing to do with the job the crew did. It had to do with the grain of the wood and the way the light hit it. Bryan sent the crew out immediately to address my concerns. I expected to show them what I was talking about and then get a date they could come back. Nope. The same day they were getting ladders off the truck to address my issue. The entire team at Powell is amazing. Friendly, polite, funny! They are respectful of your property. I loved the pace the guys worked at. I was at work for most of the job. I used my security cameras to check in on the progress. I was thrilled with the care and attention to detail they showed. They were not in a rush. They made sure it was done correctly. I would hire this team again and again. I've already added on replacing my storm door. It is hard to find a company you can trust. You can trust Powell Painting.

We had premature, extensive rotting of much of the trimwork on our 7yo house, so we hired Powell for the carpentry work to repair and replace all of the damaged boards (using PVC panels). We used the opportunity to paint the full exterior of our house a color of our choosing, and boy did it come out great! Powell also installed a gutter on an attic dormer. The team was top-notch across the board; excellent communication, friendly and professional staff, hands-on project management from Brian and his supervisors, and quality work. What more could we ask for? We will for sure hire Powell again the next time around...just hopefully not so soon!

It was a pleasure doing business with Powell Painting. Not only did I get a callback within 24 hours, Bryan came to look the job over within 2 days and I had the proposal the same night. In addition to power washing the house and garage, his guys painted the garage and did some needed carpentry, including replacing a problematic dryer vent. His workers were extremely pleasant, polite, and accommodating. The entire job was completed in 2 and a half days and came in exactly as proposed. We don’t have a single complaint. We just had our full master & full family bathrooms repainted by Powell Painting. Although a small project it was very involved and completed flawlessly. The project included prep such as sanding, filling holes, removing light fixtures & mirrors for prep. The painting included the trim, ceiling, walls and caulking around the Jacuzzi and granite sink back splashes. The bathrooms were re-assembled and cleaned very well. From the beginning to the end Bryan was there ensuring the work was completed to a very high standard.

Bryan and his team were AMAZING to work with. They did power washing, painted our entire house including cabinets. They gave fair quotes, and backed up all they said they would do. If something was off they reviewed it and fixed as needed, Bryan was on site everyday checking progress and proactively finding areas to fix if needed. Most contractors try to convince you it is right even if it isnt, not Powell they just want to the job right so the customer will be happy, they dont do shortcuts or scams. We actually had trouble with an incompetent contractor and they helped coach them to completion and helped fix a lot of their errors, which was an amazing help too and definitely above and beyond. In May 2022, we contracted with Powell Painting to 1) remove mildew, 2) sand and 3) stain a large free-standing gazebo that had many years of mildew damage. This was a complex job and we had difficulty finding someone to take it on. Bryan and his team (headed by a good foreman) proved to be hard working, thorough, kept to their word in terms of timing, delivered as they indicated, and answered our questions. We are very pleased with the final product.

We have just had extensive carpentry repairs of our screen porch and our entire house painted by Powell Painting and we are very happy! I'd say all the same thing other homeowners have said about their professionalism and the quality of their work -- it was everything we hoped for. I'll add that what I found unique about owner Bryan Powell and his foreman Tiago Moura was their willingness to collaborate with me: they patiently answered my questions, explained what they were doing and why, and educated me at every step of the process. If I had a good idea they helped facilitate it; if it was not a good idea they explained why it wasn't. One thing I've learned in life is that you often realize what you should have done in the process of doing it. So there were a few small points where either they or I looked at the work in progress and thought, it would be better if we do it this different way. Bryan, Tiago, and their crew Carlos, Bernardo, Eddie, Brano, and others all wanted to get everything right for us, and they did! Besides the great quality of their work, I'll add that their cleanup was extraordinary: not a single stray nail or drop of paint was left behind. We consider ourselves very lucky that we were able to book Powell Painting for our project this year, and we look forward to seeing them again in the future!

******05/22/2022 Edit : We used Powell Painting again for the exterior of our house. They repainted the entire exterior as well as come carpentry to the house. We had our floor to ceiling fireplace white washed as well. They did an amazing job- again- on all the work. The communication is always great with everyone. They are so reliable, professional and do such thorough work. Powell Painting recently took old wallpaper down and painted two rooms in our house. They did the dining room and living room/kids playroom. They did a fantastic job! There was a lot of prep work involved with patching holes, smoothing surfaces & replacing trim in these two rooms. They did not miss any details at all. The rooms look so refreshed. There were no paints drips any where on the floors or work dust blowing from the rooms- they were very neat as they went. The owner Bryan was very quick to respond with a reasonable quote or any questions we had. They showed up exactly when they said they would and finished in a very timely manner. Everyone involved was just very professional, friendly, and did a great job. I would highly recommend them.

We have used Bryan and his team for multiple projects over the years for both painting and carpentry work. We have had them replace trim around windows, replace rotted wood elsewhere on home, paint our front door, paint our bulkhead doors, paint our large concrete pool deck, and powerwash our entire home. We used Bryan and his crew to wash/stain our swingset, repair rotted boards/wash/stain our deck, and paint numerous window sills that were in rough shape. His crew did great quality work in the timeframe we discussed and were professional, dependable, and respectful. We were away on vacation while the work was being done and Bryan did a great job communicating. He sent numerous pictures of progress and also sent pictures of different stains on our deck so that we could see how each would actually look. This was a huge help to us because we were able to see how the stain would look on the existing boards as well as the new boards that he replaced. Lastly, there was additional work needed and dealing with Bryan and his crew made the process painless. Will definitely use them for future painting/staining/carpentry projects in the future.

We just had our house painted after 17 years. We have Hardy Plank siding. I cannot recommend Powell Painting more highly. They addressed issues common to the siding product and removed a lot of rot on the trim boards. Bryan was a dream to work with. He visited the site every day. I was assigned a crew chief that I would go if I had questions and he and the rest of the crew were professional, responsive and eager to please. This is a top notch company. I knew going into 2021, I had to give my half bath and kitchen a facelift, especially after having no dishwasher (again). Before I bought my townhouse, my last rental didn’t have one and if was going to do a dishwasher installation project, I was updating everything. I saw before and after photos posted on the Dedham Connection FB page from Bryan’s company and decided to give it a go. Not to mention, just no time to inquire to other contractors given the pandemic. I’m overall pleased with the final results. Even after buying new appliances, replacing toilet, vanity, etc the project for both came under my anticipated max budget which I was relieved about. My one nice to have recommendation would be offer customers “contractor discounts” when buying supplies at local stores should there be a relationship with the company as that would help too, especially for someone doing updates on only one income.

All of my interactions with them were great--easy to schedule a time for an estimate, a fast turnaround on an itemized quote, and transparent scheduling. We just bought a new home and wanted to repaint and make sure that all of the wood on the house and trim was holding up and keeping the bones of our house safe. Finding Powell Painting And Home Services on the internet was like finding a hidden jewel!! We originally were hoping to have our main floor painted and refreshed and after meeting and working with Bryan and his team of experts we have gone into 4 phases and have extensive work done throughout our house. They used protective coverings for everything. We didn't have to move any furniture or clear counters. They did a great job. The cleanup was complete -- you would never know they had been there!
