I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Powell Painting. They owner Bryan is an excellent communicator. From the estimate, to contract signing to daily visits to our home just before and during the project-excellent! Bryan found two things a previous contractor missed. Not only was he forthcoming about it, but he was also able to get us someone to help resolve our issue. The two primary gentleman that did our project was Freddie and Bernardo. I cannot say enough about how good the quality of their work was and how kind they are. Eric joined them partway through-another great painter! The men went above and beyond. We faced many weather challenges, but the team was able to get things done. The replaced some of the siding on our home, squared off the frame around our garage doors, added soffits, added a new front door and sidelights and painted our entire exterior. Just prior to the painting we had 29 new construction windows put in. Bryan noticed a seal error right away and his team was able to fix it. They also painted all the new interior trim, fixed a bathroom ceiling and repainted the entire room. Very meticulous. Excellent indoor prep-not a drop of paint anywhere. And very patient as I have 4 children and it’s constantly busy in my house. I plan on calling them in the future for any interior needs.

When I am looking to hire a professional for a job, I go with the company I personally feel comfortable with. I needed quite a lot of work done to my 100-year-old house. I wanted gutters removed, trim boards fixed, cedar shingles replaced. I wanted the house painted. I chose Powell Paining because of Bryan, the owner. He was straight forward and honest. I received a detailed quote listing everything we discussed.

When I decided to go ahead with the job in May, Stephanie in the office quoted me a start date of end of July beginning of August. They were spot on. Even with the incredibly rainy summer we were having. They pressure washed on July 24th. The woodwork began on July 31st.

The crew was amazing. They started working before 8 am and they worked until after 7 pm, some days even after 8 pm. Every day they cleaned up all debris around the house leaving it looking better than when they started. In total it took 7 days to remove gutters, remove my shutters, power wash, replace boards, replace cedar shingles, prime, paint and rehang my shutters. There was a project manager stopping by every day to make sure everything was going smoothly. Bryan was also stopping in to see the progress.

The team was constantly in touch with me. The communication was amazing. They kept me informed of any schedule changes, and questions they had, following up to make sure I was happy with the progress. They did an outstanding job. While the crew was working, we discovered a bad infestation of wasps. Bryan contacted a company he uses to get rid of them. 5 minutes later that company was calling me to schedule coming out to spray. Within an hour of discovering the problem, I had already set up the eradication for 9:00am the next day. Bryan's suggested company was very affordable.

The quote I received from Bryan was incredibly close to what I ended up paying. With my house being over 100 years old, I had a contingency budget of over 30%. I expected significant issues to arise. I only needed 9% for issues that arose. I added on work, and they fit it in no issue.

When the job was complete, I found two trim boards I didn't like. It had nothing to do with the job the crew did. It had to do with the grain of the wood and the way the light hit it. Bryan sent the crew out immediately to address my concerns. I expected to show them what I was talking about and then get a date they could come back. Nope. The same day they were getting ladders off the truck to address my issue.

The entire team at Powell is amazing. Friendly, polite, funny! They are respectful of your property. I loved the pace the guys worked at. I was at work for most of the job. I used my security cameras to check in on the progress. I was thrilled with the care and attention to detail they showed. They were not in a rush. They made sure it was done correctly. I would hire this team again and again. I've already added on replacing my storm door. It is hard to find a company you can trust. You can trust Powell Painting.

We got a few quotes from other companies and Powell was the best price with great reviews, so we felt confident about it. We booked in the fall to be one of the first jobs in the spring. Bryan and Stephanie were in communication a few times over the winter to let us know when they'd be working on scheduling, and then to get our color choices and provide tentative start dates. They were super communicative regarding any weather delays (which happen when doing exterior paint, you've just gotta roll with it).

About a week before the start, Bryan came out to do a walk-through with Serpa, our main man on the job, to make sure they had specific instructions on what to paint, what to leave alone, and what color goes where.

The whole team was super organized, nice, and always in communication. Bryan came by several times during the job to check the work and always checked in with me to make sure we were happy with the progress and see if I had any questions.

Serpa and Junior were so good. Attentive, friendly, respectful, and they did an amazing job! (Serpa also entertained my questions and gave great advice for some of the future projects we plan to do.) The house is a very textured stucco, so it wasn't easy, but the guys were great and the house looks beautiful. I even had someone stop their car in traffic to yell to me how good it looks!

We used Powell Painting for 2 projects over the last couple of years. The most recent was the exterior of our house. They repainted the entire exterior as well as come carpentry to the house. We had our floor to ceiling fireplace white washed as well. They did an amazing job on all the work. The communication is always great with everyone. About 1 or so years ago they took old wallpaper down and painted two rooms in our house. They did the dining room and living room/kids playroom. They did a fantastic job. There was a lot of prep work involved with patching holes, smoothing surfaces & replacing trim in these two rooms. They did not miss any details at all. The rooms look so refreshed.
There were no paints drips any where on the floors or work dust blowing from the rooms- they were very neat as they went. The owner Bryan was very quick to respond with a reasonable quote or any questions we had.

Powell Painting are professional and meticulous . From the first conversation to the estimate and the whole of the project it was an amazingly good experience. The house was not just painted; it was power washed so good, I have never seen our stairs look so clean and white. The crew went over the house with a magnifying glass and informed us of every little or big damage that they found made by years and weather. Of course they fixed everything. Then the house was scraped to the bare wood where that was needed. Bryan sent us photographs and drone movies of the progress which was wonderful to see and share with our family and friends. I had an old double door replaced with an Anderson slider, including replacing and painting the trim and wall. Bryan Powell and his crew arrived as scheduled, protective shielding was put up to protect my home and furniture from the work area. I recently bought a townhouse that was in need of a major sprucing up. The walls were haphazardly filled over the years and poorly painted. The roof had leaked at one point and the popcorn ceiling was in need of repair in many rooms because of water damage and several seams had let go. There were also settling cracks. I contacted several painters with little response. So I was thrilled when I found Powell Painting and Home Services. Brian Powell responded to my call quickly, was thorough in his inspection of my home and provided me with a detail estimate. His crew went to work quickly prepping my home for paint. They protected my floors and other surfaces. They even removed a heavy coat of glue that the previous owner used to attached a plastic piece of corner bead to the the sheetrock and cleaned, prepped and paint a large heating return vent that was nasty and over painted. They plastered and repaired overcut outlet openings and even filled a dime size hole in the trim in the master bedroom. They transformed the bedroom closets, which were filled with old wire shelving that had been removed and tons of holes. Then they painted all ceilings, walls, trim, and windows with wooden decorative frames. When done, they cleaned up after themselves, as if they were never there. A week from when they started, my home was beautifully transformed! I liked my house when I bought it; now I love it! I will definately use Brian and his crew again.

Prior to painting the house, Brian met with me to go over the rooms I wanted to have painted and took the time to understand my wants and needs. Powell Painting did a great job doing carpentry work and staining our house and I would highly recommend them. They were meticulous and detail oriented, always on time and responsive, and offered solutions to fix the issues we were having, and did an amazing job executing them. Our house is mainly cedar shingle siding with a small section of hardy board on the front. The cedar siding hadn't been stained in over 12 years and the shingles were dried out, curling, and some falling off. Powell Painting power washed the house and did a ton of carpentry work, replacing shingles, and nailing down all the loose and curled ones, and then stained and painted the house.
